          Parent involvement is very important and even crucial to every child's life. Being a parent means that you are the most influential person in your child's life and their in school. Your involvement in your child's life can benefit in several ways including, higher grades and test scores, long term academic achievement, positive attitudes and behavior, more successful programs, and more effective schools.
          Most parents want to be involved in their child's education and see their children succeed and make them proud. Often times, it is hard for parents to know where to start, when to find the time, and how to make the connection with their child and how to make the positive connections needed. Well, when you have these struggles and wonder how to show your child that you care and value their education here are a few ways to help you.
                                                            - Show interest in reading
                                                            - Take part in study groups
                                                            - Talk about educational issues
                                                            - Ask about & pay attention to school matters
                                                            - Show concern for your child's progress
                                                            - Give time to the school & classroom (Join a Parent Teacher Organization)
